Atlanta is a highly experienced media, sports, production and entertainment lawyer with over 12 years top tier firm and major broadcaster and OTT platform experience (eg Sky, Acorn TV, Foxtel, DAZN) in both Australia and the UK.

After graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Law (Hons) and Bachelor of Economics (Social Sciences), Atlanta commenced her legal career at the prestigious top tier “magic circle “ firm Clayton Utz in Australia. After 3 years of private practice, Atlanta moved to practising in-house at Foxtel, Australia’s largest broadcaster, where she advised the business on its content and production deals and activities, as well as new products and emerging platforms. In 2014 Atlanta transferred to Foxtel’s sister company, Sky in the UK where she negotiated complex commercial contracts for the distribution of partner channels across Sky’s platforms. Most recently Atlanta was the Director of Legal & Business Affairs for Acorn Media in the UK, acting as sole legal counsel for the business. Primarily advising the business across the spectrum of scripted television programming, production and distribution activities, the role also required Atlanta to advise the business on the entirety of its operations, including digital/new platforms, privacy and GDPR, risk management, industry and regulation, policies and insurances.

Atlanta advises media, sports, entertainment and production companies, as well as financiers, production and entertainment entrepreneurs, and artists, across the full spectrum of media and entertainment production and distribution activities, from development, to co-production, financing, commissioning, talent contracting, sponsorship, distribution and sales, rights exploitation, clearances, broadcasting activities as well as industry regulation and compliance. Atlanta also advises media, sports and entertainment companies on their business activities and relationships, including new products and platforms (including policies, Ts & Cs and regulations), and third party deals and agreements in respect of company operations (for example marketing agreements, services agreements, consulting agreements, vendor agreements, operations and procurement contracts).

Atlanta is noted for her breadth of experience across the media, sports and entertainment industry. Clients regard her for her pragmatic sensibility, ability to manage and close complex deals, and her highly commercial and strategic approach. Atlanta’s extensive in-house experience means she understands the dynamic and changing nature of businesses and need for practical solutions. At the core of Atlanta’s values is providing businesses and individuals with simple and efficient advice which seeks to commercially maximise business aims and outcomes.

In her spare time, Atlanta can be found hanging out with her pup Monti (her very spoilt cocker spaniel), skiing, going on hikes, travelling with friends, being active by running, cycling and yoga, and obsessively reading.

Atlanta is an Australian qualified lawyer registered with the New South Wales Law Society.
